After a year studying world history in medieval and early modern times you are now ready to take on the role of historian!
As you step into the past you will begin to develop lessons learned from one period of history and determine how those lessons could bring peaceful resolutions to current world events.
Join us as we reinvent historical inquiry in the classroom.
Why is history important?
What can we learn from the past?
Can we use generative AI technology to explore history in a new way?
Over the next few weeks, you will choose a time period from the medieval and early modern times. Using the essential questions as a launching pad you will gather evidence through research and work collaboratively to craft inquiry questions of your own that develop lessons learned from significant historical events that have shaped history.
Small groups will collaborate to gather wisdom from the lessons learned and develop strategies that could promote peace in the current era.
At the end of the project, your group will create a working version of the solution you have devised within the historical context to solve your chosen problem and share your solutions through your very own created historian, an ancient or medieval Chatbot.
