Our lab investigates how human-induced rapid environmental changes influence the physiology, morphology, and behavior of wild birds. Our field-based, interdisciplinary research approach addresses mechanistic, ecological, and conservation questions to advance our understanding of the consequences of anthropogenic changes, like introduced species and climate change. Located at San Jose State University, our lab supports independent, mentor-guided undergraduate research projects through directed research and summer fellowships.
In the Names Lab, we are committed to increasing the diversity and inclusion of STEM and academia through outreach, mentorship, and teaching. To learn more, please visit our Diversity & Inclusion page.
