Chemical Engineering BS, Class of 2012

Currently a global senior product specialist/operations manager at TÜV SÜD for the US Machinery team, and is the product manager for semiconductor services in Germany, UK, Korea, China, Singapore, and Japan. Melinda began her career at Intel In Santa Clara after graduating from SJSU CME. At this time Mateo, her son, was just a few years old. Melinda now has two little girls and two kittens.

While at SJSU Melinda was a LSAMP and Rise student doing research for Dr. Daryl Eggers on protein folding. She was selected to join the LSAMP Global Awareness program where she did cancer research at the Medical University of Innsbruck in Austria. She was also a Women in Engineering Scholarship recipient from Applied Materials, attended Global Technology Initiative (GTI) to China and Taiwan, and Summer Service Learning Program (SSLP) back to China after her GTI trip.

Melinda has remained very active with SJSU since graduation by fulfilling roles on the MEP Industry Advisory Board, SWE-SJSU Counselor and Advisor and has hired over a dozen SJSU CoE students in the past 6 years. She continues to support SJSU both financially and professionally and is also happy to be able to join CoE events!
