Message from the Editors-in-Chief

It has been an honor to be able to lead The Eye over the past year. I first joined the club when I was in 9th grade, eager to learn about journalism. Mr. Santiago has been such an incredible influence to the club, helping us each step of the way, whether it be writing articles, creating content, or helping with editing. This club has been my passion and helped me find my way towards sports communications, what I will be studying at Quinnipiac University. I hope that this club stays true to its values and I’m leaving a legacy behind of my organization, leadership, and always trying to put a smile on my peers in the club who have become life long friends. Thanks to my board for always being there for me and keep on growing as a club!! -Nara Villanueva, President

The Eye has been such a meaningful part of my experience at Saint John’s. I first joined because I wanted an outlet for my photography, and it quickly became so much more. Over time, it gave me a space to express myself creatively and eventually led me to take on a leadership role as vice president. Even though I plan to pursue medicine in the future, The Eye has taught me skills I know I’ll carry with me, especially how to take initiative and lead with confidence. I’m incredibly grateful to Mr. Santiago, whose dedication and passion have been evident since day one and are truly the reason The Eye continues to thrive.
