This week's memory verse: Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5
This week's virtue: humility
This week we will be learning about the political and economic systems in Medieval Europe.
Scientists will continue learning about waves by studying earthquakes.
We'll finish our geometry unit this week and then do some math review Christmas-style!
Math Game: No math homework until after Christmas break.
Math Homework
Students can play the math game of the week at home with a family member. All games require very few materials: mostly dice or a deck of cards. If there is a game board (piece of paper), the students can bring that back to me completed so I can see it's been done, OR it can just be written in their assignment books that the math game has been complete.
The second option is on the computer: Zearn or Khan Academy. If you choose the computer option, the requirement is 30 minutes per week. Again, these math homework minutes can be written in the assignment book.
The third option is paper homework: this would be similar worksheets to what we complete in class. Again, if you choose this option, please ensure your child completes roughly 30 minutes each week.
Let me know if you have any questions about this!
We will continue reading our novel George Washington's Socks
We will be learning about common vs. proper adjectives
We will be working on our persuasive writing and opinion writing.
