We'll start focusing on each beatitude and what it means.
This week's memory verse: Matthew 11:29
“Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart"
This week's virtue: meekness
This week we will continue to learn about Europe in the Middle Ages.
Scientists will continue studying volcanoes.
We'll work on comparing fractions, as well as adding and subtracting fractions.
Math Game: BACON
Math Homework
Students can play the math game of the week at home with a family member. All games require very few materials: mostly dice or a deck of cards. If there is a game board (piece of paper), the students can bring that back to me completed so I can see it's been done, OR it can just be written in their assignment books that the math game has been complete.
The second option is on the computer: Zearn or Khan Academy. If you choose the computer option, the requirement is 30 minutes per week. Again, these math homework minutes can be written in the assignment book.
The third option is paper homework: this would be similar worksheets to what we complete in class. Again, if you choose this option, please ensure your child completes roughly 30 minutes each week.
Let me know if you have any questions about this!
We will be finishing the novel George Washington's Socks and working on our final project.
We will be learning about Figurative Language
We will be starting our unit on informative writing.
