TRACE (Tracking the Roots of Autoimmune Conditions Expression) in Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGGD) Individuals Research Project
The overarching objective of this project is to better understanding of the etiology of autoimmune conditions and depression in TGGD, including those not undergoing gender affirming medical treatment.
This project is a collaborative research effort with the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging, Hunter College, SUNY.

Past Research Projects
HEARD (Health Equity, Awareness, and Resilience against Discrimination) Research Project
The primary goal of the HEARD study is to determine health consequences of stigma and discrimination in marginalized groups by studying the adverse effects of depression and chronic stress on neuropsychological function and immunological response in people who experience stigma and discrimination.
This project is supported by the SJNY Summer Grant funding.
This project is a collaborative research effort with the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging, Hunter College, SUNY.
Impact of Stigma on Health Disparities and Inequities in People of Color and LGBTQ+ Older Adults Living with HIV
The primary goal of the study is to examine the impact of stigmatizing attitudes and discriminatory behaviors on health disparities and inequities including barriers to health care services.

Neuropsychological Health in COVID-19 Survivors
The primary goal of the study is to evaluate long-term cognitive and psychiatric consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
This project is a collaborative research effort with the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw, Poland.
Epidemiology of Depression During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The primary goal of the study was to examine the immediate effects of the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic on the prevalence of depressive symptoms.
