The SJK Science Fair is our annual showcase of learning in the areas of science, technology, and mathematics. This pillar of the SJK experience has endured for over 40 years, engaging students from Lower School and Upper School in the pursuit of scientific inquiry.

Virtual Science Fair
The 44th annual SJK Science Fair will be fully virtual this year. Student are being showcased online with digital display boards, video presentations from the student, and online feedback forms. The fair will be conducted virtually on Monday, March 7th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. On that date, you will also be able to view the student project showcase on this website to join us in celebrating and learning from the work of our students.

Our judges have deliberated about student work and determined our certificate and ribbon winners this year. Students are scored and placed within their category and division. Presented to the student whose project had the greatest focus on how the pace of science must be taken in balance with our impact on nature, showing strong consideration for the impact of humans in their environment.
This year's recipient is Madison M.
Presented to the student whose project showed the most developed use of the scientific method, a robust knowledge of scientific principles, and a genuine passion for their area of study.

Why Participate in Science Fair?
As an integral part of SJK’s science program, the annual science fair has served as a forum within which students participate in the “doing of science”.
Participants will be able to:
Experience the employment of the scientific method
Interact with professionals from the field of science
Develop written and oral presentation skills
See the complexity of the scientific process through investigations
Recognize the inherent weaknesses that exist as part of the execution of the scientific process
Understand scientific activity and applications in real world situations
