Course Web Page
Faculty handling a Course, design their own Course Web Page. This Web page includes the Syllabus, Course plan, Question bank of the Question Paper of the previous examinations, videos of different construction practices, etc. At a glance, students get an idea of the Course. Maintenance of Course files: For each course, a course file is prepared by the concerned faculty.
The course file consists of the following items.
Teaching plan: Teaching plans for each and every course are prepared by the faculty. The whole syllabus is divided into modules and total lectures as per the teaching scheme prescribed by the university. The course objectives are defined for each course in line with the POs.
Lesson plan: Lesson plans are prepared for each lecture in the teaching plan by the faculty before the commencement of the semester and it is duly approved after careful examination by the Head of the Department and made available to the students. The lesson plan encompasses the learning outcomes and the assessment of outcomes.
Assignment & Question Bank: The previous question papers of the University are also maintained in the course files. Assignment questions list and test question papers along with key solutions are included in the course files.
Quiz: It is an assessment tool in which the learner attempts to answer the objective questions individually. It is used to test the learner's knowledge, ability to recall concepts and application of skills to solve problems.
Google Classrooms
Modern-day teaching is not just teaching using Chalk + Talk, displaying videos, etc. but also, through interaction outside classrooms. Everything that is supposed to be “Uncovered” in the specified curriculum, is not done in the classrooms but much beyond that. For this reason, we at the Department level have adopted the Google Classroom method of teaching/ learning. Students are invited to the classrooms and links to videos, links to the course web page are shared online. Important deadlines for Assignments (Along with Assignment question papers) and other submissions are also announced in the classroom.

Experience based learning
Experiential learning is an engaged learning process whereby students “learn by doing” and by reflecting on the experience.
Internship: It is an opportunity for students to apply conceptual theories learned in the classroom to solve specific problems defined in the organization and provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods ,and employment practices. It gives the students exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught at their college classrooms..
The department proposes a few topics on Mini Projects/Capstone Projects for the 2nd and 3rd-year students every year. The project offers a bridge to independent learning for students. This helps in the involvement of a group of students either to solve a problem or to complete a task or create a product.
Continuous assessment in the laboratory: Assessment of laboratory work is done based on timely record submission, conduction of experiment, and on viva questions posed to the students. At the end of the semester, one internal test will be conducted for the assessment.
Student Seminars and Guest Lectures/Webinar:
Student Seminars are conducted which improves their communication and learning skills.
Guest Lectures/Webinars are conducted by inviting eminent persons from Industry and Academics
Alumni students are invited for a technical talk and interact with the students.
Industrial experts give special lectures and seminars on current topics as a part of MoU with Industries.
Class Committee Meeting:
It is a forum for the staff and the students to openly discuss the issues in the Course Work.
The feedback about the Course delivery is discussed
The meeting is conducted thrice a semester for each class.
