Teaching Philosophy Statement

As a teacher, I aim to perpetuate knowledge and inspire learning. I always try to put forward my thoughts in the simplest manner so that each students can understand the concept well and help them to get a proper basic foundation for that particular subject. Most common method I use for teaching is chalk and talk. I begin my class with interactions with students by asking questions from the previous class or allow the students to share their background knowledge about that concept. Some class room sessions I start with an Animation videos related to that particular topic which help the students to get some practical ideas and I have found that students will be very attentive and likes that class well rather than lecture class. When it comes to problem solving I allow the students to discuss in groups and try to get the solution, rather than I solve it and give solutions. During this activity I walk around the class and help the students to clear their doubts where they have got stuck. Finally I call upon a random student and ask him/her to solve it on the board. I even observed that the students are helping each other, work together and get the solutions.

I even asked a few of the students to give seminars in order to improve their communication skills and it also helps the students to build confidence and overcome stage fear. During seminars I encourage the students to ask questions so that all can actively participate in that particular session. I do conduct Quizzes, one minute test, and Assess them.

In Future I would like to practice other Assessment methods and improve my teaching learning method.
