TEACHING PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

Teaching is a noble profession. A teacher is a learner throughout his life. An excellent teacher always possesses the depth of the knowledge of his subject, love towards his profession and his students. An effective teacher always connects and relates the subject matter with his own real-life situations. This will not only enable the students to understand the content but also can relate it to their own experience and make their learning meaningful and enjoyable.

In the present day scenario, the students come up with new ideas and abundant knowledge. We have to treat them as individuals and respect their ideas. We should not underestimate or take the students for granted.

Each student is unique. They differ in their thinking. The teacher should always be disciplined, humble and dignified. A teacher’s total personality reflects on the students. Such teachers deserve respect from the society. Our students should build harmonious interaction with the people around them.

I come from a background where my parents are teachers. Since my childhood, I have been greatly influenced by my parents, their values and encouragement, their concern over the needy people and social relations with the people surrounding us. They and the teachers of my primary, high school and college life indeed inspired me to take up this noblest teaching profession and I’m very proud of it.

In my teaching saga, I would like to adopt innovative strategies in order to make my students divergent, analytical and creative thinkers. This kind of my role would surely build a strong cordial and friendly interaction with my students that would not only enlighten them but also bring a drastic change in their future.
