I believe that an effective teacher is like the wizard who must help each individual, appreciate the potential that resides within all of us - the potential to make the best use of our minds, our hearts, and those behaviors that can make the world a better place.
My teaching philosophy aims at creating an environment in which students learn the basics principles. It also aims at incorporating the students into the learning process by serving as mentor, adviser and coach. I share my time, research interests and skills with my students. I encourage my students to understand the nature of learning as a life-long process that does not end with graduation. In turn, I continue to learn from the experiences and insights of my students. I believe everyone in the classroom is part of a community where each member has a unique perspective that can add value to a learning interaction.
My teaching practice includes both traditional means such as blackboards and more recent tools including Google classroom. I strive to become a skilled thinker and learner, and I believe that this process is life-long. My desire is to engage, challenge, and inspire growth in my students is not limited to the classroom.
