Audition Information and Scripts

Each cast member will receive a special role and we hope to have a "TENTATIVE" cast list prepared by Sunday, December 10th. As the directors and the administration continue with auditions, we appreciate your patience and support.  Once registration is closed, a list of auditions names will be posted below.

Students will read multiple times from an audition script, while interacting with other students reading from audition scripts. Be sure to download an audition script and practice as much as possible before your audition. Students will sing a song they have prepared for and this song can be from the Shrek Jr. list or a song the student feels comfortable singing. Students can find the music for Shrek Jr. on the MTI website. Students can sing with background music or acapella. The role of the Casting Directors is to decide who is the most appropriate student for any given role in the show. If you will only accept the role that YOU WANT, please be honest with the casting director. Often a student reads for one role and is selected for another one instead. As part of our policy we only allow students to audition for one role. 

Call backs: The purpose of Call Back auditions are to have students read for a specific different role. An email will be sent to the students the directors feel need to read for another role and a list will be posted below. If students are not requested, via email, to return they do not need to attend Dec. 7th audition. Remember, if your name is not posted for Call Backs; this means your audition went great and the directors have a place for you in mind.  The tentative cast list will be posted over the weekend. Students will have time to accept or decline the role selected by the directors.

 NO role is small!! A cast is a team, and each player must give it their ALL to win the game!

Auditions for Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30-7:00pm

Storytellers - Dragon - Pinocchio - Mama Ogre - Papa Ogre 

Call Backs: Thursday, December 7th Please be prepared to read for ANY CHARACTER and please have another song prepared to sing or the same song all the way through.
