Meet the Artist: Mrs. Gregory - Educator & Wonderist

After over 30 years as an elementary school teacher, Mrs. Gregory has returned to her first creative love: art. Drawing upon her extensive experience in the classroom, Cassie's teaching approach is founded on the principles of curiosity, a sense of wonder, and a connection to the natural world. Her curriculum, which emphasizes artists, artistic movements, and thoughtful observation, encourages young artists to appreciate the details, such as a swirling leaf, the shape of a flower, or the texture of tree bark. These simple marvels frequently serve as the inspiration for their artwork.

Cassie believes every child is an artist with a unique voice. Her mission is to help students see like artists, think like wonderers, and create with courage.

Currently, she is traveling throughout the South County Rural, Escalon, Linden, Manteca, and Ripon school districts, offering captivating, nature-themed art history lessons to students

Favorite Teaching Quote:

“May we raise children who love the unloved things – the dandelion, the worms & spiderlings. Children who sense the rose needs the thorn & run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards sun…”
