This is a short video produced by MAV. It may be helpful in getting you started in your revision for the upcoming exams. I hope you get some useful tips from the Video. Don't forget the best practice you can do is reviewing each module over time and consistently practice questions. As an example I would start doing revision on the module that I have just completed in class by practicing some exam style questions from Exam 1 and Exam 2. By doing this you can ensure that anything you have missed in your summary can then be added. From there I would then study the most challenging part of the course. For the majority of you this will be Financial Mathematics. Following this I would spend time on Data. Data is worth 40% so yes you need to spend a good chunk of time going through this. And then I would go over Networks. Now everyone is different; however this is an approach I would use.
After practicing each individual module I would only then sit down to do an entire exam paper. Your first paper try and time yourself to see how long it takes. Remember each Exam only goes for 90 minutes so always put in the most time into the things you are confident with. It is critical that you then mark your paper. Be harsh in your approach. If it is sort of right - IT IS WRONG. No half marks on Exams. Include your study group and teachers to find out what you need to improve on. Now do some more exam practice to smooth out those edges. Keep a track of how your scores have progress from the first, second, third,.. exam papers you complete. Hopefully you will find an upward trend.
Finally, try to have a study timetable. If you are trying to cram in three modules worth of study in the week prior to the exam I think we all know the result. Find time for yourself. Eat well, sleep well, and enjoy the company of those around you. You will get through and I never see the end of year 12 as an ending point - rather a starting point to the next chapter in you lives.
