I have been a teacher at St. John Brebeuf for the past 11 years, and I feel blessed to be part of such a welcoming and faith-filled school community. Before coming to SJB, I taught at another Catholic school in Des Plaines, which gave me valuable experience and helped shape the teacher I am today. Altogether, I have been teaching in the Archdiocese of Chicago for 19 years, and I continue to find great joy in helping students grow both academically and in their faith.
At SJB, I currently teach Math and Social Studies to 4th and 5th graders, along with English and Religion to 5th graders. I enjoy creating lessons that are engaging, meaningful, and encourage students to think critically. Watching my students gain confidence, build new skills, and discover their own love of learning is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
Outside of the classroom, my greatest joy is being a mom to Nolan (5) and Kaylee (1). My husband and I have been married since 2019, and our home is full of energy, laughter, and love. Nolan and I enjoy playing with trucks, reading lots of books, and coloring together, while Kaylee happily tags along for all of our adventures. Balancing life as a mom and a teacher keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way — both roles have shaped me into a more patient, understanding, and joyful person.
