Meet the Counselor
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Psychology degree from Bradley University, and my Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Lincoln Christian University.
I have experience working with adults and geriatric clients. Most recently, I have worked with adults in private practice for the past four years before starting my own practice. I have over eight years of experience working in private practice in an administrative and clinical capacity. I have experience working with couples and families in addition to individual counseling.
I have two sons and live with my wife in Peoria, IL. I attend Connect Church in Washington, IL.
Begin Your Engagement
Beginning the process of counseling can be a very different type of experience. Allowing oneself to be vulnerable enough to discuss personal and sometimes traumatic topics about one’s life is not always an easy task. As someone who has been in counseling, myself, I understand how difficult it can be to take that first step. This is why I became a counselor, to help people through that difficult process. I understand that faith can be an important part of one’s life as it is in mine. My Christian faith has been a significant part of my healing journey. I am able to integrate concepts of faith into counseling, based on each individual’s preference. I also realize that some wish to focus solely on therapeutic concepts and want to engage you where you are.

I have found through my journey of becoming a counselor that I want to help those who have experienced trauma. I also wish to help those who struggle with addiction in order to assist in the changes they are pursuing. I hope to be a support to relationships that are experiencing difficulty and are seeking restoration, along with aiding ending relationships in a way that results in mutual respect.
Some other issues that I can provide service for are anxiety, depression, and general life difficulties. I want to provide a peaceful and engaging experience that will help you on your journey to complete health. No matter what brings you to counseling, you will be cared for.
