I see clients for ongoing psychotherapy on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am - 4pm.
I work with all my individual clients on a recurring, weekly basis, with opportunities for less frequent visits only upon mutually-agreed arrangement. I believe that the therapeutic process works best when appointments are consistent. The initial 4-6 weeks of therapy are an opportunity for you and I to make sure that my skills, experience, and style are a good fit for your needs and preferences. If either of us aren't feeling confident about that fit, I will try my best to make appropriate referrals.
Once the earliest parts of their therapy have been completed, some clients might choose to end our work together when they accomplish their initial treatment goals. Other clients will choose to continue working with their therapist and identify new goals. Sometimes I will encourage a client to graduate from therapy to make room for another person to start their own work. Whenever possible, the decision making around ending treatment will be collaborative, ongoing, and flexible.
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) is a therapeutic approach that uses the dissociative-anesthetic medicine ketamine, either with or without supportive psychotherapy. Ketamine is either taken sublingually in rapidly dissolving lozenge form, intramuscularly via injection, or by intravenous administration (IV). Psychedelic.Support has an excellent introduction to ketamine therapy, which I would recommend to anyone considering this treatment.
When used in the dosage range utilized in KAT, ketamine facilitates a profound visionary expanded state of consciousness somewhat similar to classic psychedelics like psilocybin. The subjective experience of ketamine varies greatly between individuals and at different doses, but you can read about possible positive and negative effects at Psychedelic.Support. Ketamine is shorter acting than most common psychedelics and effects will often fade 2-3 hours after administration, making it ideal for use in a clinical setting or even at home with supervision.
I offer therapy service for individuals and groups, for clients aged 25-70 years old. I do not offer case management services, which include, but are not limited to, providing paperwork for disability, unemployment, custody, adoption, foster care, car accidents and any type of legal issues. I do not offer therapy for individuals who are court mandated for treatment or seeking treatment in which disclosure of sessions will need to be provided to an outside entity. As an independent, private practice clinician, I do not offer crisis coverage. I am also unable to provide therapy for individuals with active suicidal ideation / chronic suicide risk, uncontrolled severe mental illness or personality disorders, or individuals with substance use recovery as their primary treatment goal.
My psychotherapy practice is primarily over video telehealth for long-term psychotherapy and for the integrative components of ketamine-assisted therapy (pre- and post- ketamine sessions).
I work with clients in-person for ketamine-assisted therapy sessions at my office in the Madison Square Building. At this time I offer in-person talk therapy sessions only on a case-by-case basis.

Feedback is a gift that I encourage in relationships. If you have any concerns or complaints about my therapy practice, please bring them up directly with me - either in-session or via your secure patient portal messaging. Wherever your concern is centered we can start by talking about it together, then we can collaboratively address the problem, make adjustments, and make repair appropriately.
If you are a former client interested in giving me feedback, you may provide anonymous input via my Client Satisfaction Survey. Please request a weblink for that by contacting me via email.
As a client considering therapy, you have the right to know my qualifications, methods, and mutual expectations for our professional relationship. The information presented here is provided to help you decide if my services are suitable for your needs. Please discuss any questions or concerns you may have either now or during the course of your treatment.
The quality of the fit between client and therapist, and the relationship they are able to form together, is one of the best predictors of “success” in therapy. Clients have the right to choose a therapist who best suits their needs and goals, and in rare cases I may choose to end treatment when I feel that your needs will be better met by another provider. In that case, I will try my best to make appropriate referrals. You may ask questions about your treatment at any time and you may choose to terminate therapy at any time.
