I am a passionate advocate for individuals on the journey of self-empowerment. My path as a therapist began in research and clinical practice with individuals with substance use disorders and severe mental illness at the Seattle VA Medical Center, where I completed my clinical internship and post-graduate training in the Center for Excellence in Substance Abuse Treatment and Education fellowship program.
Work with my clients is built upon a foundation of mindfulness-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy coping skills. I am also a trained Tai Chi Fundamentals® Adapted Program instructor, and I offer integrated body practices for clients that notice the importance of moving their bodies through their change process.
As a graduate of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies MDMA Therapy Training Program, and an experienced volunteer with the Zendo Project, I'm quite familiar with non-ordinary states of consciousness and inner-directed therapeutic styles. I work collaboratively with my clients to develop treatment plans that are focused on their own goals and rooted in their own expertise in their lives. In my practice I enjoy working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, seasonal affective disorder, problematic substance use, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma.
