I am Yuewei Zhang, currently a Postdoctoral researcher at UCSB working with Prof. Jim Speck. I obtained my PhD degree (Graduate Research Associate) from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the Ohio State University, Columbus. I am interested in semiconductor device physics.
My research interests include the application of ultra-wide bandgap materials for both electronic and optoelectronic devices. Currently, I am working on the material development and device engineering using a novel oxide material -- beta-Ga2O3, toward a wide range of applications including power electronics and high frequency electronics. My work has been involved actively in device design, material growth, and nano-fabrication/ characterization.
