WHAT TO EXPECT & WHAT TO BRING

What to Wear & What to Bring?

  • You should wear comfortable clothing - something that will support you and allow your body to breathe- YOU ARE GOING TO SWEAT! I strongly suggest a good sports bra for Woman-to support your 'ladies'- Zumba can really get you bouncing.

  • Footwear, again, should be comfortable and supportive. The best shoes are those with LITTLE tread- such as tennis shoes, dance shoes or Zumba shoes (if you have them). Do the traction test, if you can twist your foot easily with the ball of your foot, you're good! OLD, bald, training shoes might be your best bet to start. You can also purchase DANCESOCKS which cover the ball of your shoe and help swivel. (NOTE Any kind of sports shoe is better than bare feet, as you will need some kind of support)

  • BRING WATER! Zumba is thirsty work, and you are free to quench that thirst at anytime during the class (I do)

  • BRING A TOWEL! You will sweat.

  • BRING your party vibe! It's infectious and the whole reason we are here is have a good time.

What to expect

Zumba will make you sweat, make you laugh and make you happy!

A Zumba class is your happy place, so leave your worries at the door.

  • Moves are repeated over and over, so if you don't get it the first time or the second time, you'll get it the third, fourth or the fifth!

  • Take it at your own pace. I will demonstrate the 'Simple' step and progress to the 'Advanced' way; so you decide what level to stay at. After a few Classes, your stamina will build and you will find it easier!

  • If you don't ever really get the moves, it doesn't matter, as long as you're moving, grooving and sweating you'll achieve the same success as everyone else in the class!

Don't forget, Zumba is a party! It's all about fun, not skill. So close your eyes, get into the zone, and shake your thing!
