On 9 November 2012 the new publication with teaching material for ICT was published at SAP in Berlin. “iStage” is a new publication produced by the non-profit association Science on Stage Germany, and is available for free as an iBook or in print (in English, German and French). It contains ICT teaching materials which relate to everyday life and which are relevant to secondary education in physics, biology, chemistry and mathematics. The teaching materials cover three broad topic areas entitled “Biology and Health”, “From Bicycle to Space” and “Our Environment”. By using these resources, teachers will improve their knowledge of ICT. Furthermore, they will become more informed about the potential for using open source programs in their lessons, and the publication gives handy hints to help teachers implement these programs.
