This is the story of making a 1934 Ford Woodie out of an existing Ford Courier Pickup
Will use Zinfandel Barrel staves for the wood! AND Zinfandel wine to stain the flat panels!
Bought the truck off of Craig's list for $1000. Paid the owner $100 to drive it over from the the Sierra foothills. It has 81,000 original miles on it. Air conditioning added when purchased in 1976 with a AM pushbutton radio!
Bought 1934 fiberglass fenders and running boards from a guy in Virginia and the 1934 Ford cowl from Fred Stokes here in Santa Rosa, CA.
Now have the new hood and the Courier truck body cut up and the 34 cowl fitted. Need to lower/section it about 3" as it will not be able to get out of the garage now, Too Tall!
Now have the cowl fitted and bolted to the frame. Some primer painted.
IMPORTANT FIND!
When cutting the frame rail, I found this mummified mouse, no telling how long he has been in there...
By the way, the paint on the little stand is the color shifting paint from FLEX I will be using to do the ghost flames on the front fenders.
Santa brought an appropriate sign for the shop.
