Testbeds:

  1. Demonstration of Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA) system over Labview-USRP2 platform @ 5G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey, UK (2019).
    • Notes:
      • D2.5 of the H2020 EU-Taiwan project “Converged Wireless Access for Reliable 5G MTC for Factories of Future - Clear5G” (61745, clear5g.eu).
      • SCMA is an overloaded code-domain NOMA scheme which exploits the sparsity of codebooks for efficient ML-approaching decoding. The original idea of SCMA is called low-density signatures (LDS) CDMA invented by researchers at University of Surrey in the following TSP'2018 paper: "Novel low-density signature forsynchronous CDMA systems over AWGN channels".
  2. Demonstration of Network-Coded Cooperative Relaying for Range Extension and Diversity Enhancement Over USRP2 platform @ School of EEE, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2016).
    • Notes:
      • CRC-aided Decode-and-Forward (DF), i.e., each relay decodes the picture message from the source followed by CRC check. If no errors are found, encoded and forward the message to the destination receiver; otherwise, stop transmission.
      • Modulation: QPSK based single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE). Linear MMSE equalization.
      • Network Coding scheme on top: BATS encoding at the source + P2P Cooperation and BATS decoding at the destinations.
