Research interest

Numerical method of partial differential equation: Radial basis function method, Trefftz finite element method, Semi-analytical collocation method (Trefftz method, Method of fundamental solution, Boundary knot method, Boundary particle method, Singular boundary method)

Inverse problem: Cauchy problem with Poisson equation and nonhomogeneous Helmholtz equation. (BPM toolbox for inverse Cauchy problems)

Wave propagation: Acoustic wave, water wave-structure interaction, SH-wave

Plate bending: Kirchhoff thin plate, thin plate with Winkler foundation

Functionally Graded Material: Steady-state and transient Heat conduction

Terminology

Radial Basis Function(RBF):Radial Basis Function (RBF), which uses the Euclidean distance variable underlying the rotational invariant, is very mathematically simple to implement for irregular high dimensional problems. Some of the more recent of these applications include cartography, neural networks, medical imaging, and the numerical solution of partial differential equations(PDEs).

Scattered Data Processing:Scattered data interpolation applied to geological prospecting data, logging data ,reservoir data, meteorological data, face recognition and many other fields of science and engineering.

Meshfree Method:Meshfree methods, which are expected to be superior to the conventional grid-based FDM and FEM for many applications. The key idea of the meshfree methods is to provide accurate and stable numerical solutions for integral equations or PDEs with all kinds of possible boundary conditions with a set of arbitrarily distributed nodes(or particles) without using any mesh that provides the connectivity of these nodes or particles.

Python:Python is a dynamic object-oriented programming language that can be used for many kinds of software development. It offers strong support for integration with other languages and tools, comes with extensive standard libraries, and can be learned in a few days. Many Python programmers report substantial productivity gains and feel the language encourages the development of higher quality, more maintainable code.
