As the oldest students on campus, 5th graders take on new responsibilities and prepare for middle school. It’s a year full of learning, leading, and lasting memories. The PTA is excited to support our students and families every step of the way. Check back here for news, events, and ways to celebrate this special year.

5th Grade T-Shirt
We are providing every 5th grader with a T-shirt. Please take a moment to complete the following form to let us know your child's shirt size. Submit your child's T-shirt size by May 1.

It’s almost that time, soon your student will be leaving elementary and entering middle school. As a show of appreciation, we would like to put together a 5th-grade slide show. If you would like your student to be included in the slideshow, please submit 3-5 pictures of them during their elementary years.
Submit pictures by Friday, May 8.
If you have any questions, contact your student’s teacher.
Es casi el momento en que su estudiante saldrá de la primaria y entrará en la secundaria. Write a letter to your child.
We are asking parents and or guardians to hand write or type a letter to their child. The letter should tell your child how proud you are of the accomplishments they have made and all the hopes and dreams you have for them moving on to middle school. Shhh… the letter is a surprise so try and return the letter by Friday, May 8. This will give us enough time to ensure that every child receives a letter at their graduation ceremony. Thank you so much for sharing your child with us. We hope that we have made as much of an impact on your child as they have made on us.
We are preparing for our 5th Grade Graduation and need help organizing the graduation. Please email gerardo.reyes@gpisd.org if you can help and be a part of the 5th Grade Appreciation Committee.

También estamos pidiendo a los padres o tutores que escriban a mano o a máquina una carta para su hijo. La carta debe decirle a su hijo lo orgulloso que está de los logros que ha logrado y todas las esperanzas y sueños que tiene para que pasen a la escuela secundaria. Shhh… la carta es una sorpresa, así que intente devolverla antes del viernes 8de mayo. Esto nos dará tiempo suficiente para asegurarnos de que todos los niños reciban una carta en su ceremonia de graduación. Muchas gracias por compartir a su hijo con nosotros. Esperamos haber tenido tanto impacto en su hijo como lo han hecho en nosotros.
