Research questions
How can we efficiently coordinate and plan energy systems while exploiting the full potential of renewable generation at the local (i.e. consume energy where it is produced, e.g. via renewable energy communities) and global (i.e. take advantage of the complementarity between different geographical areas) levels?
Keywords: Operations Research, Game Theory
How can Data Science, and to a larger extent Artifical Intelligence, support the complex decision-making problems arising from modern energy systems with a high share of renewable generation and electrical mobility?
Keywords: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics
How can we ensure that every citizen has access to energy at its true and smallest cost? How can we ensure that the citizen will be placed at the centre of the energy transition?
Keywords: Energy Economics, Market Design
How can we provide accurate physics-based modeling tools able to support the massive electrification of our society, and more particularly of our transportation system (railway, automotive, space, etc.), in line with the recent advances in power electronics ?
Keywords: Computational Electromagnetics
