What I have heard about Bose-Einstein condensation makes it sound really weird.
What is it really, and how did someone think of it?
In the early 1920s Satyendra Nath Bose was studying the new idea (at that time) that the light came in little discrete packets (we now call these "quanta" or "photons"). Bose assumed certain rules for deciding when two photons should be counted up as either identical or different. We now call these rules "Bose statistics" (or sometimes "Bose-Einstein statistics").
So where does Einstein come in?
Bose had trouble getting people to believe him and to publish his ideas in the scientific magazines of the day, so he sent them to Einstein. Einstein liked them, and he was a very important scientist at that time, so he used his influence to get them published.

Korzybski's work culminated in the initiation of a discipline that he named general semantics (GS). This should not be confused with semantics.
The basic principles of general semantics, which include time-binding, are described in the publication Science and Sanity, published in 1933. In 1938 Korzybski founded the Institute of General Semantics in Chicago.[2] The post-World War II housing shortage in Chicago cost him the Institute's building lease, so in 1946, he moved the Institute to Lakeville, Connecticut, U.S., where he directed it until his death in 1950.
Korzybski maintained that humans are limited in what they know by (1) the structure of their nervous systems, and (2) the structure of their languages. Humans cannot experience the world directly, but only through their "abstractions" (nonverbal impressions or "gleanings" derived from the nervous system, and verbal indicators expressed and derived from language). These sometimes mislead us about what is the case. Our understanding sometimes lacks similarity of structure with what is actually happening.
He sought to train our awareness of abstracting, using techniques he had derived from his study of mathematics and science. He called this awareness, this goal of his system, "consciousness of abstracting". His system included the promotion of attitudes such as "I don't know; let's see," in order that we may better discover or reflect on its realities as revealed by modern science. Another technique involved becoming inwardly and outwardly quiet, an experience he termed, "silence on the objective levels".

Dathan Hall, 21, was arrested Thursday night and charged with murder in the death of 27-year-old Jariell Dean last May. He’s being held on a $500,000 bond.
Police said Dean was shot May 27 in the parking lot of Richie’s at 1301 Linn Street, causing him to crash his vehicle into the restaurant.
Dean suffered a gunshot wound to the head and later died at the hospital.
Hall appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom at 9 a.m. Friday for arraignment. The case was scheduled to go before a grand jury August 18.

The theory of this behaviour was developed (1924–25) by Satyendra Nath Bose, who recognized that a collection of identical and indistinguishable particles can be distributed in this way. The idea was later adopted and extended byAlbert Einstein in collaboration with Bose.
The Bose–Einstein statistics apply only to those particles not limited to single occupancy of the same state—that is, particles that do not obey the Pauli exclusion principle restrictions.
