A "research agenda" is a three year plan for my own scientific research activities, setting goals (overall direction) and milestones. I have started this habit in 2004 and it has helped me focus and not to get too distracted by my own curiosity.
As a senior executive with a very busy professional life, I need to focus my time and energy when I work as an "amateur scientist" :)
