About me

I am a Computer Vision Scientist in Bytedance AI Lab. I finished my Ph.D between University of Adelaide and ETH Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Ian Reid , Dr. Lingqiao Liu and Dr. Cesar Cadena , with thesis topic of Deep Learning for 2D and 3D Science Understanding. (Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence)

My research mainly focuses on combining Deep Learning to solve Computer Vision problems. I was affiliated Australian Centre for Robotic Vision(ACRV) and Australian Institute for Machine Learning(AIML). During my Ph.D, I'm also lucky to work with Dr. Hamid Rezatofighi, Dr. Anton Milan, Dr. Thanh-Toan Do for Multi-object detection, tracking and instance segmenation. In Aug 2019 , I joined ETH ASL lead by Prof. Roland Siegwart for the topic of using synthetic data for real image segmentation, semantic scene completion and different applications for drone's perception.

Previously, as a master student, I've graduated from State Key Lab of CAD&CG, Zhejiang University on June 2016, and Co-supervised by Prof. Guofeng Zhang and Prof. Hujun Bao, I have done some research work including Video Segmentation, Video Depth Recovery, and 3D Reconstruction. In Aug 2015 , I've joined in USC ICT Graphics Lab under the supervision of Prof. Paul Debevec , where I have more experience of Lightstage based 3D reconstruction.
