Biography
Yuehua Tang is the Scott J. Friedman Professor of AI in Finance, Associate Professor of Finance, and Finance Ph.D. Coordinator at the Warrington College of Business, University of Florida. His research interests include investments, institutional investors, fintech, climate finance, capital markets, and corporate finance. He has published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science, and Review of Asset Pricing Studies. His work has received many research excellence awards, including the Q-Group Research Award, the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) Best Paper Award (three times), the AMTD FinTech Centre Prize, the BlackRock Best Paper Award (AFBC Sydney), and the Yihong Xia Best Paper Award (CICF). He currently serves as an associate editor at the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Economics and Finance and the Journal of Alternative Investments. His research has been featured in major media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Bloomberg News, Forbes, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, Fortune, and The New York Times.
Before joining the University of Florida in August 2016, he held an assistant professor position at Singapore Management University for three years. He was a visiting assistant professor at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Fall 2014. Professor Tang received his Ph.D. degree in Finance from Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business in 2013.
