I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. As an applied microeconomist specializing in behavioral and political economy, I combine theory, experiments, and empirical analysis. My recent work spans conflict theory, AI-assisted strategic behavior in laboratory conflict games, sanctions against authoritarian regimes, the long-run persistence of historical conflict (the Troubles) using Brexit as a natural experiment, strategic misinformation exploiting motivated reasoning in political communication, and algorithmic information environments.

I’ve been teaching economics to students of diverse nationalities at a wide range of institutions---from large U.S. public universities like Rutgers and Appalachian State, to a top liberal arts college like Colby, as well as national and private universities in Korea such as Pukyong National University and Konkuk University.
