5/19 [Conference] All our group members attended the 11th International Conference on Surface Plasmon Photonics (SPP11) held in Tokyo, Japan from May 19 to May 23. Four members (Seokheon, Jiyeon, Seoyoung, and Soeun) presented their posters, all of which were well received by the participants. >>>>>>

5/17 [Grant] We've won the NRF Mid-Career Grant !!! We will be supported by the NRF for KRW 200M / year for 3 years. The proposed research topic is "Synergistic Interactions between Plasmons and Other Quasiparticles for Au Nanoparticle-Quantum Dot and Au Nanoparticle-Graphene Assemblies" .

3/01 [People] Jiyeon and Seoyoung joined our group as a Ph.D. and a Master student, respectively. Welcome aboard!! Dr. Trinh (a.k.a Hoa) and Seokhyun will continue to do their research in our group as a Postdoc and a Researcher, respectively.

11/25 [Paper] Hoa's paper on a new assembly method and finding the best core@satellite nanoassemblies for the largest SERS has been published in ACS AMI. Furthermore, Hoa's paper has been selected as a cover article! Congratulations!!

8/29 [Event] We went to see the movie, "Oppenheimer", together. What a movie! What a life! Of course, we took this opportunity to study the "Born-Oppenheimer approximation" where one of his achievements meets chemistry. >>>>>

12/3 [Conference] Prof. Yoon organized the 135th Physical Chemistry Division Meeting at Ewha Womans' University. Seokheon, Joohwan, and Seok Hyeon attended the conference as staff members. Thank you all for your help.

11/2 [Conference] All our group members attended the 11th Asian Photochemistry Conference (APC2021). In the virtual conference, Prof. Yoon gave the invited talk. Ly, Hoa, and Seokheon presented their posters (along with 5-min talks). Ly won the Best Poster Award again ! Congratulations, Ly !!

10/15 [Conference] All our group members traveled to Busan to attend the 128th Korean Chemical Society (KCS) Fall Meeting. Prof. Yoon organized the PChem sessions. Ly and Hoa presented their posters. Ly won the Best Poster Award ! Congratulations.

8/26 [News] Prof. Yoon was highlighted as an outstanding reviewer for Chemical Science that is published by Royal Society of Chemistry. Read the Twitter and Blog run by Chemical Science.

7/11 [Conference] Prof. Yoon was a main organizer for the 134th Physical Chemistry Summer Symposium held in Jeju from 7/11 to 7/14. Seokheon, Joohwan, and Seok Hyeon also traveled with him as a staff. The symposium was a great success. 95 people participated in the symposium in person. There were 28 in-person talks and 37 e-posters.

6/18 [Talk] Prof. Yoon gave a talk at the 25th Raman Workshop held in Chuncheon.

6/3 [People] Sungwoon and Seokheon defended their Ph.D. and M.S. theses successfully. Congratulations !!!

5/27 [Talk] Prof. Yoon gave a talk at Department of Applied Chemistry, Kyung Hee University in Yongin.

5/19 [Paper] The paper that Prof. Yoon coauthored with Prof. Gyeong-Su Park was accepted to Advanced Materials. It is about the investigation of the effect of local strain in Au nanoplates on plasmon resonances using EELS and STEM. Congratulations, Prof. Yoon !

5/13 [Talk] Prof. Yoon gave a talk at Department of Chemistry, Kangwon National University in Chuncheon.

2/26 [Conference] We hosted the 133th Physical Chemistry Division Symposium here at CAU. It was a great success. 4 people gave in-person talks and 83 people participated in the symposium through Zoom.

9/1 [Pepole] Dr. Diptiman Dinda Joined our laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow. He is going to start a new project about hydrogen production through water splitting using plasmonic nanoparticle systems in our lab. Welcome, Diptiman!

8/1 [People] Ju Hwan, Seong Joon, and Jin Won joined our laboratory as summer undergraduate research interns. Welcome, all. Enjoy your work in our lab !!!

7/1 [Grant] We earned a 7-year research grant as a member of Engineering Research Center (ERC), "Nanophotonics-based Biomedical Diagnostics Research Center" from National Research Foundation of Korea. We will be provided 2 billion KRW (2 million USD) as a whole team every year for 7 years for developing in-vitro diagnostics tools to detect COVID-19 and sepsis.
