CV

My full CV is here. See below for a brief and informal summary of academic life in reverse chronological order.

I joined ISI (Bangalore) in Aug 2014 as an Assistant professor and became an Associate Professor in September 2018.

Prior to this, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Technion, Haifa, Israel. I was working with Prof. Robert Adler. We were working on stochastic algebraic topology. For a good description of the subject look at the following pages - Topological data analysis, computational topology and for detailed information on activities et al, see the website of the following Stanford group : Comptop

I completed my Ph.D. in Applied Probability from Universite' Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6). My supervisors were Prof. Francois Baccelli and Prof. Bartek Blaszczyszyn. I was at the research team TREC (Network Theory and Communications) of INRIA(Rocquencourt) / Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) Paris. My Ph.D. thesis was focused on ordering of point processes and its applications. The other topics that intersect with my work are coverage processes, percolation, random geometric graphs, first-passage percolation etc. For more on stochastic geometry and wireless networks, see the following webpage.

Prior to that, I did my masters at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. My M.S. thesis was on connectivity and tracking problems in wireless networks and my advisor was Prof. Srikanth K. Iyer. This was my first introduction to stochastic geometry. My bachelors degree was at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Puttaparthi, India.
