My research lies at the intersection of labor economics and public economics. I study how family and social policies, such as child care subsidies, tax credits, and pension programs, affect household decision-making and labor market outcomes. A second line of research examines how culture and gender norms shape individual responses to these policies, helping explain why similar policies can produce different outcomes across populations. Together, these two lines of work aim to improve understanding of what makes public policies more or less effective.
