Welcome to visit my Google Scholar page here.

I am currently a data scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon company in cloud computing. He is focusing on helping customers create impactful machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) end-to-end solutions.

Before joining AWS, I was a senior data scientist in Telstra, the largest telecommunication operator in Australia. I worked collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across Telstra to clearly identify significant business challenges that can be addressed with big data/ML/AI techniques. Prior to Telstra, I was working as a Senior Big Data and Optimization Engineer, and Data Scientist at ROKT and Brandscreen, respectively. Both were leading start-up companies in the online advertising industry.

I obtained my PhD degree at Faculty of Engineering and IT, University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), in 2014. My research interests were mainly on machine learning, pattern recognition, and data mining, with applications on various domains, such as finanical data, biomedical and health data, and social media data. I published 4 journal articles and 7 conference papers, of which 3 conference papers were in the ERA ratings of A/A*. These journals include: Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology), Tsinghua Science and Technology. Conference papers include those in International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), The European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (ECMLPKDD), and ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD). Meanwhile, I was a research assistant in Advanced Analytics Institute (AAI) focusing on probabilistic graphical models and their applications on sequential and time series data, clinical data and social media data.

In 2010, I obtained my master degree of engineering (integrated circuit engineering) from Institute of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University, China. Previously, I received a bachelor degree of science (science and technology of electronic information) from College of Information Science and Technology, Beijing Normal University, China in 2007.
