Comprehensive & Integrated Subsidence Prediction Model
About the Program Package
CISPM is a computer program package for predicting surface subsidence induced by underground mining operations. The research findings from my past studies on mining subsidence have been incorporated into this package. The mathematical models behind the prediction package are developed based on the principles of influence function method that is widely adopted in the major mining countries including US coal mining industry. The empirical formulas for the final and dynamic subsidence parameters are derived from a large number of subsidence cases collected from US longwall mines. It has been successfully employed in numerous cases of assessing the subsidence influences on as well as designing and implementing mitigation measures for various surface structures.
Predicting final subsidence basin for coal extraction in a longwall section of up to 10 panels;
Predicting final subsidence basin over an irregular (non-rectangular) underground opening;
Predicting the complete dynamic (time-dependent) subsidence process associated with longwall mining operations;
Recommending subsidence parameters based on the provided geological and mining information;
Deducing the final subsidence parameters from collected subsidence data;
Processing and managing subsidence survey data.
