I am a professor in the Institute of Communications Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). Prior to this position, I was affiliated with the Department of Communication Engineering, National Taipei University (NTPU), Taiwan, where I served as an assistant professor from 2015 to 2018 and an associate professor from 2018 to 2020. From 2013 to 2015, I held the position of a postdoctoral research associate in the ECE at Texas A&M University, where I earned my Ph.D. degree in May 2013. I spent the summer of 2012 at Bell Labs as a research intern. My research interests encompass information theory, network information theory, modern coding theory, and wireless communications. More recently, I have also been working in the area of data science and machine learning.

I am actively recruiting highly motivated students (at all levels) and postdocs who are interested in working with me on B5G/6G communications, machine learning, coding theory, information theory or other topics in data science.
If you are interested in my research, feel free to send me an email for arranging a meeting. In your email, please indicate time slots that we are mutually available (see my schedule).
[Opening] I am seeking postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students interested in: 1. Theoretical Aspects of Machine Learning (bandit, RL, FL, etc); 2. Coding and Information Theory; 3. Integrated Sensing and Communications; or 4. General area of 6G Communications. If you are interested, please email me your CV and research interests.
