Schedule for the rest of the semester:
4/17-4/21: 5.3 Diagonalization; 5.5 Complex eigenvalues.
4/24-4/28: 6.1 Inner product, Length and orthogonality; 6.2 Orthogonal sets.
5/01-5/05: 6.3 Orthogonal projection; 6.4 The Gram-Schmidt process; 6.5 Least squares (if time permits).
Less (or no) time could be devoted to the highlighted topics above (and we could skip these on the final exam), and cover these topics lightly. I hope students will at least learn that coordinates with respect to an orthonormal basis are easy to find!
