Yalin Sagduyu

I am the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Nexcepta, where I oversee a broad portfolio of cutting-edge R&D efforts in wireless communications, networks, security, 5G/6G, machine learning, data analytics, and computing (see Expertise for my research and development background).  Previously, I was a Research Professor at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute and the Director of Networks and Security at Intelligent Automation/BlueHalo. I am also serving as a Visiting Research Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, and an Affiliate of the Virginia Tech National Security Institute. My work has contributed to successful commercial products and resulted in a proven record of transition success for high-TRL systems. I have extensively published on wireless communications, networks, security, 5G/6G, machine learning, data analytics, and computing (see Publications for details and links of my papers). I have served as an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications, an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, and the track chair at major IEEE conferences. I have organized workshops, tutorials and invited paper sessions, given regular invited talks, and served as a panelist and a TPC member at major IEEE and ACM conferences (see Professional Activities for details).
