Hummus Bader, Installation, 2006.
The Installation was made in collaboration with Mexican artist Sergio Casas.
It consisted of a space intervention in the room of medicine in the Science Museum - a video lecture, photographs, text and live performance - on a huge sombrero were small plastic bags with a logo of the invented company "Hummus Bader" and contained "home made" chickpeas,
which were then given to the visitors to eat by the artists, who presented themselves as workers of the museum.
This work focused on myths and half lies regarding Hummus (chickpeas in English and Cicer Arietinum in Latin) and through this subject - the Arab village Sheik Badder that existed in Jerusalem until 1948 when its citizens fled the area. Made specifically for and shown in: Hearat Shulaim (A Note in the Margin), Museum of Science, Jerusalem, Israel, 2006.
