Dr. Xueyuan Zhao is co-founding startups, leading the team working on thenext-generation wireless technology innovation, indoor parking software solution, inspection drone solution, and other robotics and IoT solutions.
Dr. Xueyuan Zhao received his Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Rutgers University. Dr. Zhao has extensive R&D experience in software and hardware systems in the IoT and wireless domains. His doctoral research with Prof. Dario Pompili at Rutgers University covers topics including mobile networks, wireless sensing, underwater communications and machine learning. Before joining Rutgers, he worked at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). During his industrial period at ASTRI, he contributed to multiple industrial projects including LTE base-station development, Wi-Fi system development and industrial wireless research, and co-authored a number of patents.
His research is published in top journals and conferences. He taught Rutgers ECE courses including Linear Signal and Systems, Introduction of Computer Programming to Engineers. He received the Best Paper Award from the ACM WUWNet conference, the Rutgers ECE PhD Research Excellence Award, and the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship (QInF) Finalist Award.
