Dr. Xueyuan Zhao is the Co-Founder of InnoMountain, a technology company focusing on wireless IoT technologies. At InnoMountain, Dr. Zhao is leading the team working on the wireless gateway solution, next-generation wireless technology innovation, indoor parking software solution, energy industry's inspection robots and wireless network solution, and the smart building IoT solution.
Dr. Xueyuan Zhao received his Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Rutgers University. Dr. Zhao has extensive R&D experience in software and hardware systems in the IoT and wireless domains. His doctoral research with Prof. Dario Pompili at Rutgers University covers topics including mobile networks, wireless sensing, underwater communications and machine learning. Before joining Rutgers, he worked at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). During his industrial period at ASTRI, he contributed to multiple industrial projects including LTE base-station development, Wi-Fi system development and industrial wireless research, and co-authored a number of patents.
His research is published in top journals and conferences. He taught Rutgers ECE courses including Linear Signal and Systems, Introduction of Computer Programming to Engineers. He received the Best Paper Award from the ACM WUWNet conference, the Rutgers ECE PhD Research Excellence Award, and the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship (QInF) Finalist Award.
