  Dr. Xueyuan Zhao is the CEO of InnoMountain Inc, a startup company focusing on the next-generation wireless IoT technology. At InnoMountain, Dr. Zhao is leading the smart building IoT technology innovation, the wireless technology innovation, and also offers a course on wireless system design. 

  Dr. Xueyuan Zhao received his Ph.D. degree from Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Rutgers University. Dr. Zhao has extensive experience on wireless system research and engineering. His doctoral research with Prof. Dario Pompili at Rutgers University covers topics including wireless sensing, mobile networks, underwater communications, and machine learning. Before joining Rutgers, he worked at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). During his industrial period at ASTRI, he contributed to multiple industrial projects including LTE base-station development, Wi-Fi system development and industrial wireless research, and co-authored a number of patents. 

His research works with his colleagues are published in top journals and top IEEE and ACM conferences. He taught Rutgers ECE courses including Linear Signal and Systems, Introduction of Computer Programming to Engineers. He received the Rutgers ECE PhD Research Excellence Award, the Best Paper Award from the ACM WUWNet conference, and the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship (QInF) Finalist Award.
