Jimi Hendrix built Electric Lady Studios and lived nearby. It

 feels like a spaceship inside & its curved walls are hand-

painted with murals of lady space travelers.


Most Eighth Street pedestrians aren't aware of this hidden

Studio Complex where Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling

Stones, XES, and others have recorded music.


A bare lightbulb and a rough metal door are outside with a

small brass sign as the only clue that 'something' is there.

Very high profile musicians are its only clients.


XES was invited to record 3 sessions in Studio 'A'

XES had been invited to record at Electric Lady Studio "A"

and at no-charge because of being a completely radical

neighborhood entity during the very early studio days
