ANNUAL EVENTS
Music Major for a Day
Are you interested in gaining some insight on what it's like to be a music major? The Wyoming Flute Association has a program called "Music Major for a Day" where we curate tours for high school students who are contemplating attending UW and would like a glimpse into the day to day life of a music major! These tours may include a comprehensive tour of the Buchanan Center for Performing Arts, the chance to sit in on various classes, and the opportunity to meet music faculty and members of the UW Flute Studio depending on your availability and interest. Sign up here.
Flute Choir Holiday Caroling
All members are invited to join us in performing some holiday-themed flute choir music around town in early December. Attendance at a limited number of rehearsals is mandatory in order to participate in performances.
Woodwind Day at UW
This all-day event occurs in the spring semester. Activities include flute-specific workshops to address tone and technique, flute choir sight reading session, instrument exhibits, and a final concert with UW faculty and our guest artist. Free lunch included.
Solo & Ensemble Mock Adjudication
Are you preparing a solo for this year's solo and ensemble festival? Send in a recording of yourself playing your piece for helpful comments from the members of the Wyoming Flute Association to help you polish your performance and do your best! Apply here.
