"All legal bats used in Slo Pitch National will have either the existing USSSA compliance mark or the new USSSA compliance mark as pictured below located on the bat. Local leagues have the ability to set their own bat policies" - SPN Website, January 22, 2021
Our league follows the SPN bat rules, with a custom bat policy, and we will be using Hot Dot balls.
In addition to the new and old USSSA thumbprints, we have grandfathered in the old ASA 2004 stamp bats and the NSA bats. We also allow wood bats, both hardball and softball, to be used. Wood bats do not require safety grips, and may exceed the 2 1/4" diameter barrel mentioned in the SPN rules.
Therefore, approved bats must have at least one of the "NEW" USSSA stamp, the old USSSA stamp, the NSA Canada Approved stamp or the ASA 2004 logo. Wood bats do not require a stamp .
