Having learned to needle crafts from her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother, costume construction was an easy fit for Lisa.
Starting in St. Louis theater at STAGES St Louis, Lisa moved on to project management in the Sample Department of Helga Designs, a clothing design company servicing the Casino and Hotel business in Las Vegas, St Louis, and Chicago.
With that experience, Lisa continued in theater building costumes for Shakespeare Festival St. Louis mainstage productions as well as SFSL's touring educational troupe.
Then, onto St Louis University Costume Shop, where Lisa supervised the Costume Shop, taught Costume Construction classes, and helped build each semester's two to three shows.
