SPECIAL EVENT AT WAIKATO UNIVERSITY
CAN CONFLICT END?
an inquiry through exhibition, video, and dialogue
Phase 1 ... about 20 minutes
This event will start with opportunity to view posters and audio/video material which focus on the crises facing the world at the moment - environmental, social, political, psychological.
Commentary on the posters points to the root cause of all the problems, and so to a different approach entirely.
Phase 2 ... about 30 minutes
A video showing, entitled:
Beyond Myth and Tradition: Conflict
Showing extracts of public talks and discussions with leading academics by J. Krishnamurti.
Phase 3 ... about one hour
A dialogue on the earlier material, inquiring into the question: can conflict actually end?
Please note that a 'dialogue' is not a lecture, not a debate, not an exchange of opinion, but a genuine inquiry among people. There is no authority, no special knowledge needed.
