Woodpark Evangelical Church, AYR, Scotland

Our Registered Charity Number is SCO12923

Welcome to our church - Woodpark Evangelical Church is a company of Christians meeting together under the New Testament church principles laid out in the Bible, the Word of God. We meet regularly for various activities throughout the week and details of all our activities can be found in our Weekly Timetable page.

We are all from different backgrounds, cultures, nationalities and many walks of life with one essential theme in common. We have come to know God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord. We are sure, on the basis of God's Word, that our sins are forgiven. We will be in heaven at the end of life's journey, and we know the Lord Jesus now as our companion and friend along the way.

What did we do to deserve all this?! Absolutely nothing! We are living in the personal, joyful confidence that "the Son of God loved me, and gave Himself for me".

Sound presumptuous? Too good to be true? A dream-world? Come and hear about the Jesus of the Bible. Learn why He, and He alone, is the source of eternal life, the way to heaven, and the real resource for meaning in life.

We have public speaking style gospel meetings and Bible studies, a class-style Sunday School . . . something for all ages. Give God the opportunity to enrich your life as you learn from His Word and discover His purpose for your life.

Christians who meet in Woodpark Evangelical Church are not just people who have 'joined a church' We belong to Christ, and Him alone. We have no organizational head and we gather under no denominational name. We are however, linked to a world-wide fellowship of local churches commonly referred to as "Christian Brethren" and we all gather only in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The building is simply a place where the plain and simple Gospel is preached.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8 (NKJV)

3 .... Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.

6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.

7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.

8 Then last of all He was seen by me (Paul) also, as by one born out of due time.
