Final instructions

Please take time to read all these instructions.
Race date is 12th May 2024 - Start 10am

The race is now FULL. NO on the day race entries will be accepted. Everyone has entered online.
Do not turn up if you have been tested positive for Covid (you can defer up until 9th May)
Start - Strictly 10am - 10k, 6k & walkers
Collecting Race Numbers
Pre-collection avoid the queues is 6.30pm to 8.30 pm on Wednesday 8th May at Aldershot Cricket Club
or Arrive at race HQ between 8.00am and 9.30am
Do not allow anyone else to take your place. They are not insured. If you have a place as a result of a transfer made after Tuesday, your number will be filed at registration under the name of the original purchaser of the number so go to the desk corresponding to their name, not your own. Your name will be in the race results!
How to get to the Woggle
Please drive carefully especially in roads around Seale
Coming from London
BE AWARE THERE IS AN M25 ROAD CLOSURE THIS WEEKEND!
On the A31 Hogs back turn off at the Seale junction - here, there will be Woggle signs out. follow these signs to the HQ at myrtles courtyard, .
Coming from Farnham
Go up the A31 Hogs back to Seale / Hogs back hotel - here, there will be woggle signs out. follow these signs to the HQ
Coming from Elstead
Go over the bridges, pass Elstead mill on the B3100 first right is Fulbrook road - here, follow to crossroads , turn left at Crossroad.
There is a Postcode GU10 1JH. (DO NOT drive through Hampton estate)
Follow the "Woggle" signs.
Free Car Park
On Arrival
Marshals will guide you to a parking spot – this will be on a one-way system – leave your car. Please note there will not be a bag drop, please leave belongings in your car. the car park is manned.
You will collect chip Numbers in the Barn at the Start , please stay apart in the queues. There will be interviews and messages, you can use the area beyond to warm up etc ....... and smell the bacon !!
There are toilets – you must use hand sanitiser before entering the toilets and afterwards.
At 9.50am You will be instructed to the start. (please do not cross the start line or warm up near the start line. until the bell is rung the chip timing could be recorded)
Water Stations
There will be one water Station at about 5k on the 10k only.
The course
The course will be marked with black arrows on yellow background.
It is your responsibility to adhere to social distancing the whole time. Please only overtake another person when it is safe to do so.
Please do not spit or blow your nose whilst passing another participant.
Please respect other members of the public who are also using the course paths.
Bin bags will be in place at registration.
What Shoes ?
I would recommend trail shoes if possible the route is 90% trail. But normal running shoes would be OK.
The Finish
As you approach the finish, please make sure you cross the Finish mats and proceed into the finish tunnel DO NOT RECROSS THE FINISH MATS we will also be manual timing so please stay in line so that we can record your time and position. Please still be aware of the social distancing in the finish funnel.
Spectators are allowed at the start or finish area, or walk backwards up the course , please keep the drive clear for Runners.
Medals plus FREE drinks bottle will be on a table at the finish. Once you have exited the finish funnel please collect your medal and take off your Race Number immediately after you leave the finish area.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF .......
BACON ROLLS - After you finish you will be guided to the Bacon Rolls, Tea or Coffee - the Scouts will have set up a tea room, please remember social distancing.
There will be a Vegetarian option

Please bring exact Change as they would prefer not to touch the money !!!
Due to the number of people please keep a safe distance from event personnel.
About the race
All Runners please stay on the left of the course to allow runners to pass on the right,
This is a trail run, we advise trail shoes for running.
Sorry no pushchairs or wheelchairs the terrain is not suitable.
Sorry No dogs are allowed to run with you. walk on a short lead only
No bikes are allowed on the course.
Most important please do not drop any litter, Gels are easier to carry when empty.
The Future depends on you
We are kindly given permission from Hamptons estate to run on this private land, Please respect this beautiful place, do not pick the flowers on the estate, please do not go off the marked trail, rest can be taken at the finish - our marshals are all volunteers smile and be courteous.
Most importantly - Enjoy the Run
Some of you will not have run 6k or 10k before, take a look at the scenery, beat the hills, you can do this. Some of you have done Hundreds of 10k`s..... enjoy the views and remember "last 1k is downhill"
